Phil Rosenthal is an American writer, producer and TV personality, best known for his role in creating Everyone Loves Raymond and his hit Netflix show Somebody Feeds Phil!

Born to a Jewish family and raised in Queens, New York, Phil was passionate about theatre from a young age, attending his local school’s drama club and then on to studying theatre.   Through much of the early 1980s, Phil tried his hand as an actor, before moving to Hollywood shifting his focus to production work, becoming a writer and producer for shows such as Coach with Craig T. Nelson.

But it was in 1996, when Phil met comedian Ray Romano that he would have his biggest success, by creating the much loved sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, which was nominated for over 70 Emmy Awards.

Phil remains an occasional actor, appearing in projects such as The Simpsons Movie, 30 Rock and Curb Your Enthusiasm (featuring of course our previous JLGB Virtual guest, the hilarious Jeff Garlin).

He has also written, directed and produced a range of high profile events such as directing President Bill Clinton in a White House Correspondents' Dinner video, and also co-writing the 9/11 telethon America: A Tribute to Heroes, which raised money to help victims and their families, particularly the New York City firefighters and police officers.

In recent years, Phil has since gone on to host shows of his own, such as I’ll Have What Phil’s Having and the brilliant Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil, where he gets to travel the world exploring different food cultures, and which this week he announced the much anticipated 4th season will air in October,

So, what a week to have Phil join us, we are so privileged that he has found the time to speak to us despite his busy schedule, so without further ado. Ladies and Gentlemen, all the way from Los Angeles, California, please welcome tonight’s very special guest, Phil Rosenthal!!!

For 125 years, young Jewish people have been discovering just how brilliant they can be and how they can make the world a better place through JLGB. Whether you're 8 or 18, whatever you want to be, join in and be your best self with us!
