Ndidi Okezie is an influential public advocate, former teacher and executive, and the new CEO of UK Youth, which is a leading national umbrella charity for young people committed to empowering to help build bright futures, regardless of their background or circumstances.

A graduate of Brunel University, Ndidi was part of Teach First’s very first Trainee Teacher cohort in 2003, and rose through the teaching ranks to be the Assistant Principal in Burlington Danes Academy, part of the ARK School family dedicated to improving the education and opportunities available to young people facing the most challenging circumstances.

Ndidi then returned to Teach First as the Engagement Strategy, and later Executive, Director, working closely with Brett Wigdortz, a former guest on JLGB Virtual, on developing the charity into the what it is today.

After working for Pearson as the Vice President for its Secondary School Portfolio and shaping the tools for teachers to use in their classroom, in January 2020 Ndidi was appointed the Chief Executive of UK Youth and has already led on multiple initiatives seeking to improve youth access. In recent weeks, following the tragic death of George Floyd in America and the huge outcry across the world, Ndidi has been leading from the front and has recently launched with UK Youth the #YoungandBlack platform for young Black voices to share their stories in a safe environment.
